Groups from across the state marched at Saturday’s kickoff to the State Capitol building’s 100th birthday. Marching bands, historical re-enactors, dance troupes and others took to Harrisburg’s downtown for a “Pennsylvania’s Treasures Parade” that started a five-day celebration.

Now that Gettysburg has signed up for York water and Abbottstown is almost drinking from the Susquehanna River, New Oxford might be next. The water company gave a presentation to the New Oxford Borough Council five weeks ago, said Edwin Schneider, chairman of the New Oxford water authority.
WASHINGTON Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf wants Congress to preserve a historic corridor stretching from Monticello in Virginia to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
